Inventory of Cultural Heritage Resources
Richmond Hill has an Inventory of Cultural Heritage Resources. This is a good tool for residents to find out about historical buildings in the community. Not all buildings on this list are designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.
Confirming heritage status
You can prove a property's heritage status with a formal Heritage Status letter from our Planning and Regulatory Services department. There is a $100 fee for this service.
Contact the Heritage and Urban Design section to confirm a property's status on the City Heritage Register and to request a Heritage Status letter.
